Our Privacy Commitment
Prayer Pause is built with privacy at its core. We don't track you, we don't show ads, and we don't sell your data. Your location stays on your device - we never send it to our servers.
Overview
Prayer Pause is an iOS application designed to help Muslims maintain their prayer schedule through accurate prayer times, Qibla direction, and optional focus features.
Information We Collect
Location Data
We request access to your device's location to:
- Calculate accurate prayer times for your location
- Determine Qibla direction toward Makkah
- Auto-update prayer times when you travel (if "Always" access granted)
Location Stays On-Device
Your location data is processed entirely on your device. We do not transmit your location to any server.
User Preferences
We store your app settings locally on your device, including prayer calculation method, notification settings, and theme preferences.
iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you enable iCloud Sync, the following data is synced across your devices via Apple's iCloud:
- App settings (theme, calculation method, notifications)
- Prayer streak and completion history (last 30 days)
- Focus feature usage statistics
- Language preference
iCloud Privacy
iCloud data is encrypted by Apple and only accessible on devices signed into your iCloud account. You can disable iCloud Sync anytime in the app settings. Your location is never synced - only your preferences and progress.
Screen Time Data
If you enable app blocking features (Sabr Shield, Salah Block), the app uses Apple's Screen Time APIs. This data is processed entirely by Apple's frameworks and never accessed or stored by Prayer Pause.
Purchase Information
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store payment information.

What We Don't Do
- No Tracking - No analytics SDKs

- No Data Sales - We never sell your information
- No Third-Party Sharing - Your data stays with you
Third-Party Services
We use Apple frameworks (StoreKit, Family Controls, Core Location, ActivityKit, iCloud). All data processed through these services is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Your Rights
- Change location permissions anytime in iOS Settings
- Manage notifications in Settings
- Revoke Screen Time access in iOS Settings
- Enable or disable iCloud Sync in the app settings
- Delete all data using "Reset All Data" in the app
- Manage subscriptions through the App Store
Children's Privacy
Prayer Pause is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. All data remains on the device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy and will notify you through an in-app notification and by updating the "Last Updated" date.
